Thanks to all of our awesome participants for a brilliant weekend of mountain running in the stunning Scottish Highlands!
Here is your run down of all the action from Skyline Scotland 2022:
Saturday 17th September
Salomon Lochaber 80 Trail Ultra
Congratulations to Simen Hjalmar Wästlund and Katie Kaars Sijpesteijn for taking the wins in the inaugural Salomon Lochaber 80 Trail Ultra - part of the Spartan Trail Ultra World Championship. It was a spectacular day racing on good trails through the wild and remote landscapes of Lochaber. A fast course led to some speedy times with Simen winning in 07:17:25 and Katie winning in 08:49:05.

Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace™
Congratulations to Alan Cherry and Naomi Lang for their wins in the Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace! 700 runners headed off from the start in Kinlochleven to tackle this iconic and very challenging route across the Mamores - taking in 29km, 2,500m and plenty of exciting ridge scrambling along the way.

In the Event Village
There was a brilliant atmosphere in the Event Village with brands such as VAGA, Supernatural Fuel, Harvey Maps, La Sportiva, and Petzl exhibiting. There was also food, coffee and beer from Top Out Brewery, Turnip the Beet, James Coffee and Base Pizza. Younger runners enjoyed the fun run and there was also the speedy Grey Mare's 5km Trail Race to enjoy!

Sunday 18th September
Salomon Glen Coe Skyline®
There were plenty of nerves and excitement on the start line early on Sunday morning ahead of this iconic lap of Glen Coe - which takes in the two famous ridges of Curved Ridge and Aonach Eagach. Well done to Andrew Lamont and Noëmi Löw for their impressive runs - taking the wins!

Salomon Ben Nevis Ultra™
A big and exhilarating day awaited the participants in the Salomon Ben Nevis Ultra as they headed north out of Kinlochleven towards Glen Nevis and the excitement of the CMD arête and the mighty summit of Ben Nevis. After a long day out in the mountains, the wins went to Lynne Allen and Jack Oates. Well done!

The 10/18/27km Trail Races
There were three further Trail Races on the Sunday morning providing challenges and speedy trails for every level of runner, while also giving the chance to enjoy some beautiful Scottish views. The 27km was part of the Spartan Trail World Championship, boasting a very competitive field with Antonio Martínez Pérez and Andrine Benjaminsen taking the top spots and some fabulous prizes from SPARTAN. Finishers continued to come in throughout the afternoon with plenty of smiles and sprint finishes as they crossed the line to many cheers from supporters!
