Want to know how yoga can help your running?
This practical workshop will explore how yoga practices can help you get more from your performance whatever your level. Targeting areas of the body most used by runners we will explore how yoga can be a useful cross-training practice helping with body & injury awareness, balance, maintaining mobility and improving recovery.
In particular we will focus on three areas:
- Hips, legs and feet
- Core strength
- Breathing exercises to increase oxygen uptake & calm & focus the mind
We will discuss basic anatomy & physiology & look at a short cool down sequence to take home to add to your training. This workshop is suitable for all levels of runners, including complete beginners. No experience of yoga is necessary. All equipment is provided.
